Maybe I'm just tired, but I feel confused on several fronts after reading this. I imagine any "Roe rule" would be wildly different from state to state, and thus have a snowballs chance in hell to pass?

My gut feeling is that these meetings can only be discussions on how to repair the Titanic after it's already tilting 30 degrees and on it's way down. I would be more interested in meetings that happen after the civil wars are over. But maybe that's just my more pessimistic side talking.

Hey Sonja, so the "Roe Rule" is specific to Kansas, so we don't have to rely on other states to get it axed. It is the Convention of States that requires 34 states to get it passed.

Funny you should mention civil wars, a Convention of States is meant to keep a civil war from happening. It is the peaceful way to go about changing things for the better of the People. The one thing people have noted about Convention of States is that it is an extremely slow process due to all the checks in place to ensure it is done as safely as possible. They did try holding one in the 1800s, but the Civil War started before it could come together. Advocates today are working hard and being hopeful to get one passed before it comes to that again.
