I find it both amusing and troubling when lawmakers try to use a historical reference to justify a position or reason behind a particular narrative. The Roman Empire went through many law changes with each magistrate and dictator gaining more power and exercising their own promulgated laws which favored the privileged in society. I think the Representative needs to read the Declaration of Independence paragraph 2 and the preamble to the Constitution as we will find "We the people" includes "everyone".
